Every Newborn website moves to Healthy Newborn NetworkPosted 5 December 2016 in News.
The Every Newborn website (www.everynewborn.org) is in the process of transiting to the Healthy Newborn Network – HNN (www.healthynewbornnetwork.org), an online community dedicated to addressing critical knowledge gaps in newborn health. All content currently on the Every Newborn website will be posted on HNN. Future activities in support of Every Newborn will be posted on HNN and disseminated through the network of partners.
The Every Newborn webpage was established in June 2013 to support the development of the Every Newborn: an action plan for ending deaths (ENAP). From 2013 to June 2014, the webpage hosted materials in support of the consultation process, such as the calendar of events, news items documenting consultations, and a toolkit. Following the launch of ENAP in 2014, the webpage was updated to include the action plan itself as well as monitor activities relating to the implementation of ENAP including news items, a toolkit, and other resources (e.g. webinars, relevant Lancet series). The ENAP landing page has always had cross links with Healthy Newborn Network blogs and resources. This merger will prevent online duplication of efforts and streamline online resources.
During the transition phase (December 2016 to January 2017), activities related to the implementation of the Every Newborn Action Plan will be posted on HNN as blogs, events, and other resources tagged with “Every Newborn”. The HNN page for Every Newborn includes twitter hashtag of the movement #EveryNewborn and highlights key resources. More resources will be available on this page as we move forward with the transition.
