Every Newborn Advocacy Resources

The online consultation on “Every Newborn: an action plan to end preventable deaths” is now closed. If you would like to contact the Every Newborn Action Plan  (ENAP) secretariat, please email everynewborn@who.int.

Thank you to all those who submitted comments on the draft action plan. A document outlining the response to the comments received during this consultation period will be available on the Every Newborn  consultation page shortly. The final draft of the ENAP will be presented to Member States at the Sixty-seventh World Health Assembly, in May 2014.

The Every Newborn action plan is been developed on the principle that engaging all possible partners in the discussion and implementation builds positive energy and new or renewed commitments to action. For Every Newborn to be a success, the work must continue and there is still much to be done and must be done to make sure newborns survive and thrive.

Over  the coming months, this page will be constantly  updated with advocacy  resources and tools to provide practical information and support for those engaged in  newborn advocacy.

Every Newborn Action Kit: Provides advocacy information and resources for groups and organisations to use as they engage governments in support of Every Newborn. It contains background on maternal & newborn health and a menu of recommendations governments could adopt to support the plan.

Country Action kit & Fact Sheets (15 countries): A brief PowerPoint presentation providing background information on the development of the Every Newborn Action Plan and the consultation process.

PowerPoint presentation: A brief PowerPoint presentation providing background information on the development of the Every Newborn Action Plan and the consultation process.
